It features a very quiet and innovative direct drive motor in combination with an integrated phono preamplifier and automatic start and stop function. Far from a simple entry-level standard, the Thorens TD 402 DD uses cutting-edge technology along with ease of use and perfect sound. The new Thorens TP 72 tonearm uses a carbon tube, the pre-installed AT VM95 E cartridge is mounted in a detachable headshell. The integrated phono preamplifier can be deactivated if necessary. An acrylic dust cover and a power supply are included.
