UNIVERSAL AUDIO UAD-2 LIVE RACK ULTIMATE is a 16-channel MADI effects processor that allows live sound engineers to create studio-quality mixes using real-time UAD effects processing. Designed to withstand the demands of live performance, users can connect up to four UNIVERSAL AUDIO UAD-2 LIVE RACK ULTIMATE units for 64 channels of MADI processing.
With its Real-time UAD QUAD Core processing, UNIVERSAL AUDIO UAD-2 LIVE RACK ULTIMATE allows engineers to enhance their live mixes with the world's best analog emulations. Existing Universal Audio users can use all their owned UAD plugins with the Live Rack.
UNIVERSAL AUDIO UAD-2 LIVE RACK ULTIMATE includes a solid suite of ready-to-use UAD plugins, such as Teletronix LA-2A and 1176 compressors, Pultec EQs, and more. UAD-2 Live Rack Ultimate, on the other hand, allows the use of 90 UAD plugins from names like SSL, Studer, Neve, Manley, Lexicon, API, Moog, and others.
With the Live Rack application, FOH engineers can take advantage of intuitive features like drag & drop, copy & paste, keyboard navigation, plugin zoom, and the ability to save and recall channel strip presets and/or complete setup configurations via Snapshots. Designed for live contexts, the Live Rack app features large text and GUI elements that allow easy parameter manipulation. The Live Rack application also allows snapshot recall via MIDI, as well as software integration with Soundcraft Vi consoles.
UNIVERSAL AUDIO UAD-2 LIVE RACK ULTIMATE includes professional "safety" features to make the device reliable in live environments. Redundant power ensures that UNIVERSAL AUDIO UAD-2 LIVE RACK ULTIMATE continues to process audio even if one of the two power supplies has problems. If the application or computer crashes, or in case of accidental Thunderbolt 3 cable disconnection, it will continue to process audio with the last active plugin. And if the APP's Safe Mode is activated, it will preserve work from destructive changes to plugin settings.
