Warm Audio went to great lengths to recreate the original '67 capsule, ensuring it behaved the same way, had the same frequency response, and the same sonic character as the original. This involved not only ensuring the hole type was identical, but also that the entire assembly was made of brass (including the mounting rings), just like the original model. It takes more time than using different materials, but the extra effort was necessary for this microphone.
