Their main product, the WA12 preamp, is based on the design of the classic API 312 preamp and is available in two formats: the classic standalone rack and the 500 Series format, a convenient, practical, compact, and increasingly popular professional standard. The WA12 preamp was built with top-tier components normally only used for very high-end products, notably including Cinemag Made in USA transformers on both input and output.
Warm Audio's goal is precisely to provide musicians with professional products that don't have prohibitive costs. The WA12 excels at capturing microphone and instrument signals with extraordinary clarity and warmth. The device provides 71dB of gain, and a convenient Tone button allows selecting the input impedance from 600 ohms to 150 ohms, affecting the microphone tone and the HI-Z high impedance inputs. The 2 Meg Ohm True HI-Z input on the front panel allows sending the instrument signal through the entire circuit, including the Cinemag transformers and amplifier, making it perfect for guitars, basses, keyboards, and any other instrument with a 1/4″ jack output.
