If you have used a Pipes & Drapes system before, you probably know what the downsides are: for example, the telescoping drape support coming loose, irregular hanging drapes, or clumsy assembly. The revolutionary and patented 4-way connector with its self-locking system makes these occurrences a thing of the past. This system guarantees solid connections of uprights and drape supports, while these can still be adjusted in all possible directions. Wentex Pipes & Drapes always goes the extra mile. Another advantage is that the four connector openings have a universal size of 16 mm. This leaves room for mounting a camera, speaker, or lamp. By using an adapter, it is even possible to connect the 4-way connector seamlessly to all Pipes & Drapes systems with round uprights.
Additional advantages
You will discover additional advantages when using the Wentex Pipes & Drapes. Our reinforced aluminum telescoping uprights can be mounted up to 6 meters without needing ladders, and their locking heads ensure an easy and robust connection. Furthermore, our base plates with rounded corners are reinforced to withstand extra weight.
The reinforced drape supports can hold a weight of 25 kg and can be adjusted up to 3 meters in length. The velcro system ensures that the drapes hang evenly and straight.
We offer a wide range of different fabrics that can be used for the Pipe and Drape systems. Each fabric type has its own specifications and applications which are explained in the overview below.
Medium Gloss Satin
Medium Gloss Satin is a lightweight fabric. Its weight is 165 gram/m2. Due to its lightweight, it is easy to handle and more cost-effective. The drapes have a somewhat glossy appearance. Medium Gloss Satin drapes are washable and fire-retardant according to DIN 4102-B1 (IFR). They are made of 100% PES FR. Due to the lightweight fabric, it does not block light 100%, for this kind of application you can use the Dimout series.
Molton CS
Molton CS is the standard for stage dressing and is made of the same fabric as backdrops. Molton CS is heavy with a weight of 300 gram/m2. It has a matte finish and therefore absorbs most light. Due to its higher density, it also blocks light much better than Medium Gloss Satin.
Molton CS drapes are washable and are fire-retardant according to DIN 4102-B1 (IFR).
They are made of 100% PES FR.
Dimout
Dimout fabrics are shiny fabrics with a weight of 260 gram/m2. They are ideal for decorative applications and available in a wide range of colours. Dimout drapes are specially designed to block light and can be used for example in front of windows.
Dimout drapes are washable and are fire-retardant according to DIN 4102-B1 (IFR). They are made of 100% PES FR.
String Curtain
String curtains are very suitable for decorative effects. They have a high transparency and are ideal to be lit to create stylish and impressive effects. String curtains are washable and are fire-retardant according to DIN 4102-B1 (IFR). They are made of 100% PES FR.
The Wentex Fixed Upright is not telescopic and is part of the Pipe and Drape system. It has a fixed height of 120 cm and is the ideal base in combination with the 30 x 35 cm base plate and 10 cm base plate pin. Equipped with a 4-way adapter, it allows up to four crossbars to be connected effortlessly.
The maximum supported weight is 25 kg. This makes it perfect for hanging curtains and useful for hiding backgrounds or creating partitions. The height of this upright is ideal to serve as a barrier between spectators and the front of the theatre.
