Digital Multitrack Recorder
The ZOOM R20 is a digital multitrack recorder that redefines recording, editing, and mixing standards with its intuitive touchscreen interface. Its color-coded control layout is intuitive and incredibly easy to manage. The touchscreen allows you to move, delete, copy/paste, loop, and stretch with a simple gesture. Everything possible with a modern DAW, made even simpler.
Additionally, the new ZOOM R20 features Zoom's best preamps ever.
With its 6 XLR inputs and 2 XLR-combo inputs, 8 simultaneous recording tracks and 16 playback tracks, it can support all projects, from songwriting to full albums, including entire live drum sets. Each track has a 3-band EQ, compressor/limiter/noise-gate available for studio-level mixing.
The ZOOM R20 also features a multi-effect (compatible with Guitar Lab) that allows amp and reverb simulations. There are also 150 rhythmic loops in 30 musical styles, and you can connect a MIDI keyboard to play with the 18 pre-installed synths, or edit them directly via the touchscreen. It can also read standard MIDI files, import bass lines, melodies, piano sequences and make them play using the internal synth.
The ZOOM R20 can also be controlled via iPhone or iPad, using the optional BTA-1 Bluetooth adapter and the remote control app (scheduled for release in spring 2022).
