The historic Church of Santa Maria del Pianto, located in the heart of Rome's Jewish Ghetto, is a sacred building of artistic and spiritual importance, also used for community meetings and celebrations organized by the non-profit organization Italia Solidale. The goal of the intervention was to enhance sound diffusion to ensure better speech intelligibility and uniform sound distribution, without altering or damaging the historic structure or the internal frescoes.
Mini line array column speakers were used, featuring a sober design and neutral colors, installed at strategic points without invasive interventions on walls or artistic structures.
An Audio Technica ATDM1012 digital mixer was also integrated, allowing for almost automated microphone management, making audio management of events even simpler. The cabling was discreetly laid, and the routing paths were protected and concealed, in respect of the environment's historical nature.
The project at the Church of Santa Maria del Pianto represents a synthesis of respect for historical heritage and technological innovation at the service of the community. A delicate and significant intervention, demonstrating Music Delivery's ability to operate even in the most sensitive contexts, with precision, discretion, and attention to detail.
