Dolby Atmos® Excellence arrives at the "Santa Cecilia" State Conservatory of Music in Rome
Some projects go beyond simple technical supply. They are challenges that leave their mark, uniting the history of music with the technologies of the future.
We are proud to share with you one of the most prestigious achievements ever by Music Delivery: the new setup of a Dolby Atmos® 7.4.1 audio control room and a video control room at the legendary "Santa Cecilia" State Conservatory of Music in Rome.
An immense privilege that solidifies our role alongside musicians, sound engineers, and entertainment professionals, bringing cutting-edge technology into an institution symbolic of global musical culture.
The Audio Project: An Immersive Dolby Atmos® 7.4.1 Architecture

The main challenge was the design and acoustic calibration from scratch of an immersive audio control room based on the Dolby Atmos® 7.4.1 standard. To ensure maximum fidelity and total control over the room's acoustic response, the choice fell on a Genelec 8240 monitoring system with SAM™ (Smart Active Monitor) technology. Thanks to this technology, each individual speaker is able to self-calibrate and perfectly adapt to the surrounding acoustic characteristics.

At the heart of audio management, we placed the new PreSonus StudioLive 24 Series III. The pulsating core of the signal flow is based on a complex, state-of-the-art AVB (Audio Video Bridging) network: the control room console is directly connected to the digital stageboxes located in the theater via a single network cable, ensuring zero-latency, clean, and flexible bidirectional audio transmission.

Video Control Room and the Enchantment of Video Mapping on the Historic Organ
The room adjacent to the audio recording was also configured to serve as an advanced video control room. The system manages 4 motorized PTZOptics cameras in real-time, positioned in the theater and controlled via their dedicated hardware controller in the control room for dynamic shots and superior broadcast quality.
But the true visual magic happens on stage. Utilizing the power of an Epson professional video projector, we integrated an architectural video mapping system projected directly onto the majestic 10-meter pipes of the hall's historic organ. A perfect synergy between monumental acoustics and digital visual impact, capable of transforming every concert into a multimedia work of art.

Not Just Production: Space for Future Training
This new technological infrastructure will not be limited to recording and transmitting live Conservatory events. The control room will, in fact, become the didactic hub for the brand-new academic course in Sound Engineering and Electronic Music.
Knowing that new generations of sound engineers and producers will take their first professional steps on machines and infrastructures wired by us fills us with pride. It means passing on our own passion.

A Team Success: Our Excellent Partners
A project of this complexity is never achieved alone. Reaching such absolute levels of excellence was only possible thanks to close collaboration with our long-standing partners, irreplaceable professionals to whom we extend our deepest gratitude:
- Eugenio De Bellis from Carper Strutture, without whom it would have been impossible to complete the entire construction part of the project.
- Gino De Dominicis from Midiware: true ambassadors of Genelec and Artnovion in Italy, whose involvement was fundamental for the highly refined calibration and final optimization of the 7.4.1 system.
- Franco Fraccastoro from Fender: who supported us step-by-step in the setup and deep integration of the PreSonus product network.
- Fabio Gallo from Audioeffetti: for his valuable and insightful technical advice in the development of the video and projection section.
With this project, Music Delivery reaffirms its mission: to be the ideal technological partner for anyone who wants to transform sound and space into an unforgettable experience.
