The SOLID STATE LOGIC UC1 is a hardware controller for SSL Plug-ins with dedicated controls for the EQ and Dynamics sections of the channel (one knob per function), a central section with full controls for the Bus Compressor, and an authentic moving coil VU Meter to display gain reduction.
The SOLID STATE LOGIC UC1 offers the most creative, intuitive, and effective solution for controlling the new SSL Native Channel Strip 2 and Bus Compressor 2 plug-ins within a DAW.
Every detail on the SOLID STATE LOGIC UC1 has been designed to keep the mix under control and how it changes during the processing. Dedicated front panel encoders, accompanied by a high-resolution display, allow you to quickly switch between Channel Strip and Bus Compressor instances directly from the control surface. You can also load presets and change the order of processes within the Channel Strip.
The heart of the SOLID STATE LOGIC UC1 system is the SSL 360° Plug-in Mixer, which allows you to view and control all channel strips and bus compressors in one place. The 360º Plug-in Mixer offers an efficient way to interact with multiple plug-ins simultaneously, further bridging the gap between console and in-the-box workflow.
The SOLID STATE LOGIC UC1 provides dedicated controls for all key parameters of the Channel Strip 2 plug-in. EQ, Filters, Compressor, and Gate/Expander controls offer the same configuration and visual feedback found on large-format SSL consoles, making it easier to feel comfortable while working in the studio. In the central section of the SOLID STATE LOGIC UC1 are the Bus Compressor controls. The authentic layout and central VU meter give the distinct feeling of getting your hands on a real hardware bus comp, in the central section of a true SSL console. With a moving coil meter for gain reduction, the same as found on SSL consoles since the 70s, capable of accurately representing gain reduction and bus compressor release times, producers and sound engineers will always have precise control over how they react with instruments, subgroups, and, of course, the mix bus.
Full licenses for the SSL Native Channel Strip 2 and Bus Compressor 2 plugins are included with the purchase of SOLID STATE LOGIC UC1. Channel Strip 2 is a complete Channel Strip, based on the digital modeling of the EQ and Dynamics curves of the legendary XL 9000 K Superanalogue console. This new V2 version adds SSL's new anti-cramping algorithm and the ability to externally trigger the sidechain circuit of the Dynamics section. Bus Compressor 2 adds some options requested by SSL users over the years, with additional Ratio, Attack, and Release options, and the ability to use an external signal for the sidechain, as well as x2 and x4 oversampling.
