The new control surface from the historic Oxford-based company brings SSL's well-known advanced workflow to in-the-box productions. The UF1 features a 100mm motorized fader, a dual high-resolution display, a set of soft rubber keys, and a weighted jog wheel, all enclosed in a robust metal chassis. The UF1 offers complete control over pan, sends, DAW plug-ins, and much more, as well as the ability to customize the 46 'soft' keys to suit your workflow. With clear and in-depth visual feedback, intuitive control, and deep integration with the SSL Meter plug-in and SSL 360° software, the UF1 delivers power and control never before offered by a controller in this category. The UF1 can manage up to 3 DAWs simultaneously and comes with profiles for Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, Studio One, Ableton Live, Universal Audio LUNA, and Pyramix. Dedicated transport controls and the weighted jog/scrub wheel allow for quick and effective navigation even within the most complex sessions. Secondary transport keys can be customized with essential workflow shortcuts, such as loop on/off and click track on/off. Alternatively, you can press the Shift key to quickly access DAW automation modes. The 100mm motorized SSL fader provides precise control when writing automation and, of course, fine-tuning track levels during recording and mixing sessions. The UF1's dual high-resolution display provides in-depth visual feedback of DAW track names, parameters, time display, the SSL Meter plug-in, and Channel Strip plug-ins enabled in the SSL 360° Mixer. You can control the SSL Channel Strip plug-in directly from the UF1 surface, with the EQ curve displayed on the large display. Gate and compression activity is also shown on the small display. The large multi-function step encoder allows for channel banking, mouse wheel emulation (Focus mode), and computer system volume control. In addition to full DAW control, the UF1 also includes a perpetual license for the SSL Meter plug-in (worth €99.99) which can be viewed on the large 4.3" IPS display and controlled directly from the UF1 surface or the SSL 360° Plug-in Mixer. The SSL Meter plug-in offers essential metering tools, including peak and RMS levels, K-System, stereo balance, phase correlation bar, Lissajous phase scope, 31-band RTA, VU, and PPM metering. The UF1 can be used alone or in combination with the UF8 for an even deeper DAW control experience. The UF1 is also the perfect hardware expansion for SSL's UC1 controller plug-in, adding fader control and providing easy access to channel strip parameters, as well as visual feedback of EQ curves. For a next-generation SSL controller setup that offers the complete SSL virtual console workflow, up to four UF8s can be combined with UC1 and UF1.
