In the hospitality sector, ambiance isn't created solely with lighting and decor: sound plays a fundamental role in the guest experience. When we were entrusted with the acoustic project for the Chapter Chianti Resort, an elegant scattered hotel nestled among the Tuscan hills, the objective was clear: to design an integrated, invisible, and extremely high-performing sound architecture.
The very nature of a scattered hotel presents unique challenges. Unlike a structure concentrated in a single building, a complex like the Chapter Chianti Resort is articulated into different functional areas and both internal and external environments, each with different acoustic and entertainment needs:
- Hospitality and Relaxation: The Reception, Bar, and Restaurant required warm, enveloping, and uniform background music to accompany convivial moments without ever overpowering conversation.
- Wellness and Dynamism: The SPA needed a relaxing and high-fidelity soundscape, while the Gym required energy, strong bass, and acoustic clarity.
- Outdoor & Nature: The Pool Area, gardens, and outdoor pathways required uniform coverage capable of resisting weather agents and blending seamlessly with the Tuscan landscape.
Music Delivery handled the design and installation of the entire multi-zone background music system, selecting leading brands in the sector to ensure the perfect balance between aesthetics, reliability, and audio quality.
For all internal rooms, the reception, the restaurant, the bar, the SPA, the gym, and the conference room, we chose Kgear solutions.
Kgear column systems and their dedicated amplifiers allowed us to achieve:
- Minimum Visual Impact: Ultra-compact and elegant design that blends discreetly with the resort's premium finishes.
- Homogeneous Acoustic Coverage: Column technology ensures uniform sound dispersion, reducing harmful reflections in the rooms.
- Control and Power: Kgear amplifiers offer optimal channel management and the necessary dynamics to switch from soft background music to support for events and conventions.
For the pool area and the green spaces of the scattered hotel, the choice fell on outdoor solutions from Helvia.
Helvia garden speakers were integrated into the resort's green spaces, ensuring:
- Weather Resistance: High IP rating to withstand rain, humidity, temperature fluctuations, and UV rays.
- Landscape Integration: Design created to blend in with the vegetation without altering the park's aesthetics.
- Outdoor Sound Quality: Immersive sound even in open fields, free of distortion, and pleasant at any listening level.
The entire system was designed to provide the resort management with simple and intuitive control. Thanks to zone division, staff can independently adjust the volumes and sound sources of each environment (e.g., relaxing music in the SPA, lounge background music at the bar, dynamic playlist in the pool and gym).
The project carried out by Music Delivery for the Chapter Chianti Resort demonstrates how custom audio integration can enhance the concept of a luxury scattered hotel. Technology transforms into an invisible yet perceptible element, capable of welcoming guests into a discreet and elegant sound journey.
