The SOLID STATE LOGIC ULTRAVIOLET STEREO EQUALISER is a 500 series stereo equalizer that recreates Fusion's acclaimed minimum phase shift Violet stereo EQ section, while adding two fully parametric SSL mid-band equalizers with "Focus" modes. These are classic SSL parametric mid-bands capable of traditional SSL processing techniques, but they also go far beyond, offering absolute surgical precision down to "notch" style filtering.
Focus mode allows users to "focus" on problem frequencies or specific frequencies they wish to accentuate or attenuate. Pressing the "Focus" switch further narrows the chosen Q setting and increases the available gain range beyond the normal +/- 9 dB operation, up to a massive +/- 18 dB.
The HPF of the SOLID STATE LOGIC ULTRAVIOLET STEREO EQUALISER offers a world of flexibility when processing the low-end. Interaction with the LF shelving band offers unique ways to sculpt signals including the sought-after boost + cut effect. The dedicated Trim control allows "hitting" the converters with plenty of headroom or in the perfect amount when clipping is desired.
